WTMUGA hosts “Piano and Chamber Music Recital” in collaboration with Trakya University
The Western Thrace Minority University Graduates Association (WTMUGA) organized a special musical event titled “Piano and Chamber Music Recital” in collaboration with the Department of Music Education at Trakya University’s Faculty of Education in Edirne.
The recital was held on Monday, July 21, at the BTAYTD Xanthi Cultural Center.
The event featured performances by Dr. Özlem Tuzcu, a faculty member at Trakya University, and her piano and chamber music students. Among the performers was Demirkan Baltacı, a young piano student from Xanthi.
At the close of the evening, WTMUGA President Hüseyin Baltacı extended his gratitude to all attendees and especially to the guest musicians.
The recital was attended by prominent community figures, including:
- Çiğdem Asafoğlu, President of the FEP Party,
- Aydın Ahmet, President of the Western Thrace Turkish Teachers’ Union,
- Kerem Abdurahimoğlu, President of the Xanthi Turkish Union,
- alongside numerous members of the local Turkish minority community.
In a statement following the event, WTMGUGA noted:
