Women from Xanthi meet in Dolaphan village
The first meeting of this year's 'Women's Meetings' organised by the Women's Section of ITB and ITB courses was held at the Xanthi Turkish Union Dolaphan Sewing and Embroidery course.
The event was attended by Sevil Şerifoğlu, Vice President of Xanthi Turkish Union, Zeynur Bargan, Spokesperson of the Western Thrace Turkish Women's Platform and President of the ITB Women's Section, Nadire Ömer Trampa, wife of Mustafa Trampa, Mufti of Xanthi, Şerife Mustafaoğlu, wife of Hüseyin Zeybek, MP, Nilifer Hraloğlu, wife of Ahmet Hraloğlu, Deputy Mufti, Fatma Emir, ITB Şahin Course instructor, members of the ITB Women's Section, ITB Sewing Embroidery trainees and women from Dolaphan village.
The opening speech of the event was made by Dolaphan course instructor Gülser Homko. Gülser Homko thanked the guests and expressed her gratitude to the management of ITB and the women who gave all kinds of support to her and the course.
Then Zeynur Bargan, Spokesperson of the Western Thrace Turkish Women's Platform and President of the Women's Section of ITB, expressed her pleasure to be together with the women of Dolaphan village. She stated that their aim as the women's branch is to stand by the women with the projects and activities they organise.
In her speech, Sevil Şerifoğlu, Vice President of Xanthi Turkish Union, gave information about the 'Women Meetings' series of events. Şerifoğlu said, "As Xanthi Turkish Union, we aim to contribute to our women, who we see as the cornerstone of the society, in different fields as well as keeping the Turkish culture alive in Western Thrace. ITU courses do not only provide our women with skills. It also keeps our culture alive. In this sense, it is very important and very valuable. In order to respond to the needs of our women in social areas, we aim to see healthier, happier, more peaceful women, mothers and wives by bringing them together with experts from time to time in line with their wishes, and bringing them together with organisations such as meals, picnics and trips."
Dietician Sevgi Giretli, who was the expert guest and speaker of the meeting in Dolaphan village, gave information on "What to Pay Attention to Healthy and Balanced Nutrition During Ramadan" and answered questions from women.
At the end of the event, course instructor Gülser Homko presented the speaker Dietician Sevgi Giretli, Nadire Ömer Trampa, wife of the Mufti of Xanthi, Serife Mustafaoğlu, wife of MP Hüseyin Zeybek, Nilifer Hraloğlu, wife of Deputy Mufti Ahmet Hraloğlu, Sevil Şerifoğlu, Vice-President of ITB, Zeynur Bargan, President of the Women's Section of ITB, with handicrafts prepared in Kusrta. Afterwards, traditional foods prepared by the trainees were served to the guests
