Winter is at the door, firewood aid still not done

The fact that wood aid for citizens living in mountainous regions has not yet started throughout the country worries the beneficiaries.

The great reaction of the citizens to the new decree with the force of law published by the Ministry of Environment and Energy a while ago prompted the ministry to reorganize the decree.

It was stated that the new decree-law regulating dry wood cutting and firewood aid for citizens living in the mountainous region was suspended.

Xanthi New Democracy Deputy Spiros Çilingiris, in a statement on his personal social media account, announced that upon the reaction of the citizens to the new decree, he took an initiative before the ministry, met with the Deputy Minister of Environment Yorgos Amiras and announced that the "Forestry regulation" that was issued a while ago was suspended. Çilingiris noted that the decree will be rearranged in a short time and will be published in accordance with the needs of the citizens.

As it will be remembered, Xanthi SYRIZA Deputy Hüseyin Zeybek brought the issue to the parliament at the end of September and asked about the delay in cutting trees and firewood aid.
