Western Thrace Turkish Youth came together for an Eid dinner in Gümülcine (Komotini) on Wednesday, May 4, with the organization of the Western Thrace Student Union.
Youth branches of non-governmental organizations in Western Thrace and Young Academics Community attended the dinner organized by the Western Thrace Students' Union (BATÖB), which was formed by Western Thrace Turkish students studying in Turkey.
Young Academics Community (GAT), FEP Party Youth Branches, Xanthi Turkish Union Youth Branch and Komotini Turkish Youth Union New Generation Branch participated in the invitation of BATÖB.
President of Turks Abroad and Related Communities of Turkey, Abdullah Eren, connected to the organization held at ASBA Restaurant in Eşekçili village of Komotini via video conference, expressing his pleasure to see Turkish Students from Western Thrace together and celebrated the students' holiday.
YTB President Eren emphasized that it is very important for students studying in Greece and Turkey to come together and stated that they plan to carry out more studies on this issue from now on. He expressed that they wish to bring especially the Western Thrace youth, who received university education in Greece, to Turkey with travel or youth camp programs.
Stating that Western Thrace Turks have trained people in many fields from the past to the present, Eren emphasized that young people have great responsibilities in this sense and that Western Thrace youth should raise themselves very well. Eren said that within this framework, YTB will continue to work hard to fulfill its responsibilities and to protect the students.
More than 200 students came together with the BATÖB organization. The students, who had the opportunity to meet each other, had the opportunity to evaluate to come together in different organizations, especially in the summer months.

“Tonight, as BATÖB, it was a unique night where we hosted all the youth of the Western Thrace Turkish Community under one roof. Together with FEP Party Youth Branch, Young Academics Community (GAT), GTGB New Generation Branch and ITB Youth Branch accompanying us as our guests, we felt the joy of Eid in our hearts tonight. Our brother Abdullah Eren, President of YTB, accompanied us in the night with the live connection, and gave us the honor. We thank them very much for their contribution and support to us. We would like to thank all our Western Thrace brothers who are with us and hope to see you in our bigger and new events.”
