Two robbery cases solved in İskeçe

Police in İskeçe have solved two robbery cases—one successful and the other attempted. Two suspects, one a Greek national and the other a foreign citizen, have been identified. A third individual is also facing charges for assisting them.

The first incident occurred on August 6, when two masked men on a motorcycle threatened an employee with a firearm on the İskeçe–Kavala road and stole money.

The second incident took place on August 8. The same suspects, again using a motorcycle, attempted to rob another business at gunpoint but fled without obtaining money.

During a search of the third suspect’s residence, police recovered the motorcycle used in the robberies. Investigations revealed that the vehicle had been reported stolen on March 22, 2022. It has since been returned to its rightful owner.

The İskeçe Police Department continues to investigate the case.
