Turkish minorities and communities met at the 8th Annual Meeting of FUEN TAG

The 8th Annual Meeting of the Federal Union of European Nationalities (FUEN) Turkish Minorities/Communities Working Group (TAG) was held online on 11 December 2022.
Representatives of the Federation of Western Thrace Turks in Europe (ABTTF), Western Thrace Minority Graduates Association (BTAYTD) and Friendship Equality and Peace (FEP) Party attended the 8th Annual Meeting of FUEN TAG, representing the Western Thrace Turkish Minority.
Rhodes, Kos and Dodecanese Turks were represented by the Association of Solidarity and Culture (ROİSDER) and Ahıska Turks were represented by the International Ahıska Turks Association “VATAN”.
The Crimean Tatars were represented by the Crimean Tatar Milli Majlis (KTMM) the Karachay-Balkarians by the Social Organization for Strengthening and Development of Karachay-Balkarian Traditions "Bars El" and the Tatar community in Romania by Tatar Democratic Union.
The meeting started with the greetings of ABTTF President Halit Habipoğlu and FUEN Vice President Nabi İbrahimcik.
Habipoğlu was unanimously re-elected as FUEN TAG Spokesperson at the meeting.
The participating organizations shared information about the important developments regarding the Turkish minorities and communities they have represented since the last annual meeting in December 2021.
They informed the members about the activities they carried out in 2022 and planned to take place in the near future.
The meeting ended with the discussion of FUEN TAG's 2023 action plan and the determination of the common roadmap for it.
