Transport sector firms from Türkiye have shown enthusiasm for the development of a rail link between Istanbul and Igoumenitsa, a topic highlighted during the Prodexpo North 2025 conference in Thessaloniki.
According to logistics company executives, this interest was formally conveyed during business meetings at the Greek Embassy in Istanbul in early February. The proposed railway project is expected to enhance trade and transit efficiency between Türkiye and Greece, strengthening economic ties in the region.
