Türkiye's Deputy Foreign Minister Yavuz Selim Kıran, who came to Western Thrace on Sunday, July 24 to participate in the commemoration of Sadık Ahmet, visited the tomb of the Mufti of Xanthi Ahmet Mete, who passed away recently.
Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Yavuz Selim Kıran, who came to Western Thrace on Sunday, July 24 to participate in the commemoration program of the late Sadik Ahmet, one of the leaders of the Western Thrace Turks, came to Xanthi on Sunday, 24 July to represent the state of the Republic of Turkey, to commemorate the tomb of the Mufti of Xanthi Ahmet Mete, who passed away 10 days ago.
During his visit to the tomb, Deputy Minister Kıran was accompanied by Turkish Ambassador to Athens Burak Özügergin and Turkish Consul General to Komotini Murat Ömeroğlu. Deputy Minister Kıran was welcomed by Deputy Mufti of Xanthi Ahmet Hraloğlu and religious officials of the Xanthi Mufti. Xanthi Deputy Hüseyin Zeybek was also present during the visit to the grave.
After the Quran was recited by Hafız Fatih Kocaahmet during his visit to the grave, the late Mufti Mete was once again commemorated with mercy, with the prayer of Deputy Mufti of Xanthi Ahmet Hraloğlu. In his short speech during his visit to the grave, Deputy Minister Kıran stated that they once again commemorated the late Mufti of Xanthi, Ahmet Mete, with mercy. Expressing that the personalities leading a group may lose their lives as a result of Allah's will, but the lawsuit will continue by the survivors, Kıran stated that they can easily see this stance today and that the just cause of the Western Thrace Turks will continue in any case.
After the grave visit, Kıran visited the family of the late Xanthi Mufti Ahmet Mete to convey his condolences.
