Turkish breakfast organised at the Consulate General in Komotini
The breakfast, which was organised today at 11.00 am in the garden of the Consulate General in order to promote Turkish breakfast, was attended by the Consul General of Komotini Aykut Ünal and his spouse, as well as the Vice Consuls and Consulate staff with their spouses.
Among the guests, İbrahim Şerif, President of the Consultative Committee of the Turkish Minority of Western Thrace (BTTADK) and Mufti of Komotini, Mustafa Trampa, Mufti of Xanthi and their spouses, some local politicians, heads and executives of non-governmental organisations attended the breakfast with their spouses.
In addition, contingent teachers working in Turkish schools in Western Thrace attended with their families.
Minority press members also attended the breakfast with their spouses.
Making a short speech at the breakfast, the host Consul General of Komotini, Mr Aykut Ünal, stated that they wanted to meet with the cognates at a Turkish breakfast within the scope of the World Breakfast Day event and that they were happy to come together for this reason and thanked the participants.
The Consul General also thanked those who contributed to the organisation of the breakfast and hosting the guests in the most beautiful way.
A rich menu was served to the guests attending the breakfast.
After the participants had their breakfast, a prayer was made by İbrahim Şerif, Mufti of Komotini
Afterwards, the cognates chatted with each other at the tables for a while.
While the cognates who attended the breakfast thanked Consul General Aykut Ünal for bringing them together, the Consul General sent off the guests in the most beautiful way.
