Traffic accident in Xanthi: Two kinsmen lose their life
On Sunday afternoon, at the road junction leading to the beach of Kalfali (Myrodato) in Xanthi, a road accident took place and two Western Thracian kinsmen lost their life. The accident occurred when a car and a truck collided violently.
Fire brigade and ambulance teams were immediately dispatched to the scene. While one person lost his life, the other injured people were taken to Xanthi Hospital. It is reported that the condition of the 15-year-old little girl in the car is severe and she is in intensive care and later she lost her life too.
Passing drivers stopped and tried to help the victims. It is noteworthy that many accidents occur at this road junction every summer and most of them are fatal.
