TOÇEK’s young talents receive standing ovation in Gümülcine
The TOÇEK Theatre, Culture and Arts House’s Creative Drama Hour Workshop captivated audiences on Friday, July 25, with a charming year-end performance featuring two plays performed by its young actors.
Held at the historic Rex Cinema Hall in Gümülcine, the event drew a large and enthusiastic crowd, including proud families of the performers and many local theatre enthusiasts.
Under the direction of TOÇEK actor Erdem Ahmet, the children showcased their talents in Aziz Nesin’s beloved classic "Pırtlatan Bal", followed by the comedic sketch "Vah Başıma Gelenler", originally performed by Turkiye’s renowned BKM Theatre.
After the performance, Erdem Ahmet addressed the audience, saying, “It’s been a challenging journey with our young performers, but we made it. Be proud of your children—they’ve done something incredible.”
The evening ended with rousing applause and cheers from the audience, recognizing the hard work, creativity, and confidence shown by the children of the TOÇEK Creative Drama Hour Workshop.
