The Municipality of Xanthi organizes a conference on demographics

The Municipality of Xanthi, in collaboration with the Regional Union of Municipalities of Eastern Macedonia-Thrace and the Institute of Local Self-Government of KEDE, is organizing a conference entitled: "Demographic and Local Self-Government: Challenges and Prospects".

The event will take place on Friday 4 and Saturday 5 October, at the Municipal Amphitheater of Xanthi, while the Minister of Social Cohesion and Family, Sofia Zaharaki, will be present.

The aim of the conference is the analysis of demographic challenges and the role of Local Government in dealing with them.

At the same time, recent evidence from an ongoing study by the Institute of Local Government will be presented, which explores the issue and will integrate the findings of the conference, offering a comprehensive and meaningful analysis of the demographic issue, as well as practical perspectives for action.
