The Municipality of Komotini draws attention to telephone scams

At noon on Monday, February 17, an unknown person contacted a contractor performing a project of the Municipality of Komotini, and pretending to be an employee of the Municipality's Financial Services Department, asked for access to his bank details under the pretext of paying off a warrant of the Municipality to him. 

However, the contractor immediately contacted the Technical Services Department of the Municipality of Komotini and was informed that no contact had been made with him by any employee of the Municipality's Financial Services Department, which means that it was an attempt to deceive him.

In view of the incident, the Municipality of Komotini invites those who deal with it to reject such calls and to contact directly the following telephone numbers of the Services: 25313-52444, 25313-52437, 25313-52447.
