The first 'Women Meetings' event of the new term held in Elmalı

The first meeting of the event organised by ITB Women's Section and ITB courses was held at ITB Elmalı Sewing and Embroidery course.

The opening speech of the event was made by Elmalı course instructor Ayşen Dur. Dur thanked the guests who attended the event and thanked the people of the village and especially the women who have given all kinds of support to her and the course for 25 years.

Zeynur Bargan, Spokesperson of the Western Thrace Turkish Women's Platform and President of the Women's Section of ITB, expressed her pleasure to be together with the women of Elmalı village. Bargan stated that the aim of the Women's Section is to stand by the women with the projects and activities they organise.

In her speech, ITB Vice President Sevil Şetifoğlu gave information about the "Women's Meetings" series of events and said: "As Xanthi Turkish Union, we aim to contribute to our women, who we see as the cornerstone of the society, in different fields as well as keeping alive the Turkish culture in Western Thrace. In order to respond to the needs of our women in social fields, we aim to see healthier, happier and more peaceful women, mothers and wives by bringing them together with experts from time to time in line with their wishes and by bringing them together with organisations such as meals, picnics and trips."

Interior designer Emine Çıtak, who attended the event as a speaker, made a presentation on "How to Design a Correct and Healthy Home". Emine Çıtak answered questions on topics such as correct furniture placement, making spaces look more spacious and wider, and interior design of the house.

At the end of the event, course instructor Ayşen Dur presented the speaker Emine Çıtak, ITB Vice President Sevil Şerifoğlu and ITB Women's Section President Zeynur Bargan with a handcrafted tray they had prepared in the course. During the event, traditional foods prepared by the trainees were served to the guests.

The event was attended by ITB Vice President Sevil Şerifoğlu, Western Thrace Turkish Women's Platform Spokesperson and ITB Women's Section President Zeynur Bargan, ITB Women's Section members, ITB Şahin Sewing Embroidery Course instructor Fatma Emir, ITB Demircik Sewing Embroidery Course instructor Zehra Bati, trainees and many women.
