The first of the 'Women's Meetings' held in Mustafaçova
The first of the "Women's Meetings" organized by the Xanthi Turkish Union (ITB) Women's Branch and ITB courses was held on Wednesday, March 1 at the ITB Sewing - Embroidery and Handicrafts Course in Mustafçova village of Xanthi.
The opening speech of the event was made by Şerife Mustafaoğlu, instructor of ITB Mustafçova Sewing, Embroidery and Handicrafts Course. Şerife Mustafaoğlu thanked everyone who attended the event and expressed her pleasure to host the guests.
ITB Vice-President Sevil Şerifoğlu also gave information about the series of events "Xanthi Turkish Union Women's Meetings" in her speech. Sevil Şerifoğlu said, “As the Xanthi Turkish Union, we aim to contribute to our women, whom we see as the cornerstone of society, in different fields, as well as keeping the Turkish culture alive in Western Thrace. In order to meet the needs of our women in social areas, we bring them together with experts in their fields from time to time in line with their wishes and demands, improve their knowledge and skills in different aspects of daily life, and bring them together with organizations such as meals, picnics and trips to make healthier, happier, more peaceful women, We aim to see mothers and wives. While we are doing these, we will continue these activities in consultation with both our other associations and our mufti. We would like to thank everyone who participated in our event, which we started from the village of Mustafçova today. We also thank and congratulate our women from Mustafçova who showed us such a warm hospitality.”
Participating as a speaker at the event in the village of Mustafçova, Pediatric Specialist Dr. Münevver Ago talked about "First Aid for Children". In her presentation, Münevver Ago gave detailed information about first aid to mothers, especially in emergencies such as shortness of breath, suffocation, home accidents, medication or poisoning, and febrile convulsions. Ago also answered the questions of the participants on the subject.
