The building problem of Xanthi Minority Secondary School - High School raised in the parliament

Xanthi New Left Party MP Hüseyin Zeybek criticised the minority policy of the New Democracy government in his speech in the parliament. Zeybek, who brought the building problem of Xanthi Minority Secondary School - High School back to the agenda in his speech, said that this problem should be solved as soon as possible.
Starting his speech in the parliament with condolences for 19 year old Ayşe Kadri who lost her life after being hit by a police car in Mizanli village of Xanthi, MP Zeybek emphasised that this accident, which is still surrounded by many uncertainties, should be clarified as soon as possible.
MP Zeybek addressed the plenary session of parliament during the 2024 budget negotiations. In his speech on Thursday, 14 December, Zeybek criticised the government's economic policies and emphasised the problems especially in the field of agriculture and animal husbandry. Stating that the government does not support the farming sector, Zeybek said that the budget is far from supporting the agricultural sector. Zeybek noted that as the New Left Parliamentary Group, they demanded a reduction in VAT (FPA) on food, a reduction in the fuel used by farmers and more support for the Agricultural Compensation Institution ELGA.
Xanthi MP Zeybek also expressed the minority problems in his speech. Hüseyin Zeybek raised the building problem at the Xanthi Minority Secondary School - High School and reminded that the school had to provide education in shifts, morning and afternoon.
Zeybek said, "After weeks of boycott at the school, only morning classes are being held now, but as a result of the unavailability of some classrooms, students have to study in very difficult conditions, almost on top of each other in the classrooms."
Hüseyin Zeybek emphasised that a final solution to the building problem at the minority high school is only possible with a new building.
Zeybek stated that the government did not want to take any initiative on minority problems and said, "There has never been another government that has been so indifferent to minority problems. There has never been another government that has approached the rights of the minority in such an authoritarian manner. It has increased the inequalities between citizens and has caused divisiveness among citizens. We, as the New Left, are here to expose all these issues. We are here to fight for the reversal of this situation. We are here to defeat the New Democracy pandemic."
Zeybek also expressed the difficult situation of Xanthi State Hospital and said: "This hospital has now become a health centre. The shortage of staff makes it impossible for this hospital to function normally."
Zeybek also referred to the shortcomings and problems in internal medicine and intensive care.
