Teachers' Association announce message for the new academic
Mr Mehmet Yakup, President of the Association of SÖPA Graduated Teachers of Rodopi and Evros Provinces and its executive board made a press statement about the 2023-2024 academic year which will start next week in Greece.
In the statement, the teachers' association management gave a message to teachers, parents and students about the new academic year and stated the following.
"Dear Teachers, Dear Parents, Dear Students.
We are in the enthusiasm and excitement of starting another new academic year. We wish it to be auspicious for all of us.
The aim of education is to raise our young people in line with their interests and talents and to prepare them for life in the best way.
The future of our society is in the hands of you, the youth. The generations that will continue our existence in an honourable way will flourish in schools and in the hands of teachers.
For this reason, our teachers have great duties. We must undertake the task of preparing our children well equipped for the future. We must make every sacrifice to fulfil this sacred duty properly. We must move forward together towards original and new plans in our educational goals. It is only possible to carry our goals higher and higher with self-sacrificing teachers like us. With a sense of responsibility, perseverance and determination, we must continue to inspire our children, our future and our hope. No matter what the conditions are, we must endeavour to improve our work day by day.
We want our students to be thinkers, researchers, active in class and social activities, and in harmony with their teachers. As a place of education and training, the school gives you various information, teaches you skills, innovations and the way you will go. School also teaches us to live together, to love each other and to obey the rules. We believe that if parents, students and teachers co-operate, problems will be solved to a great extent.
In a school where there is mutual love, respect and solidarity, student success will increase.
Our aim is to raise our young people in a physically and mentally healthy way, to help them to have a profession that will make them happy and contribute to the happiness of society.
Dear parents; we sincerely believe that you will work day and night to raise the new generation in the best way and that you will overcome all kinds of difficulties. Our children are our future. It is our primary duty to equip them with the best knowledge and to ensure that they benefit from the education and training processes in the best way.
We thank you all for sharing our burden on this blessed path.
We sincerely congratulate our students who succeeded in the university exams and wish them success in their higher education life. They should not forget that we are with them under all circumstances. No matter how far away they are, we wish them not to forget their own society and not to move away from their traditions and customs.
With these feelings and thoughts, we wish you all success and hope that the new academic year will be auspicious.
