Successful tourism and gastronomy workshop held in Rhodope

A tourism and gastronomy-focused workshop titled “Local. Authentic. Honest: Destinations with Taste and History” was successfully held on Thursday, July 17, in the conference hall of the Chamber of Professionals and Craftsmen of Rhodope (EBE Rhodope). The event was organized by the Rhodope Development Agency as part of the transnational cooperation project "LOCAL TOUR" under the 2014–2020 LEADER Rural Development Program.
The workshop aimed to highlight high-quality local products as key assets for enhancing gastronomic tourism and regional identity.
During the opening day of the event, speakers presented topics including:
the gastronomic identity of the Rhodope region,
the importance of "honest" products in local production,
strategies for promoting the region through food-related tourism.
In his brief address, EBE Rhodope President Mr. Theodoros Savvakis emphasized the value of promoting quality local products, stating that they represent a vital pillar of the local economy and play a significant role in the tourism development of the region.
