As part of its 150th anniversary celebrations, the İskeçe Central Turkish Minority Primary School organized a meaningful event titled “Time Capsule,” allowing students to send messages to the future. During the event, pupils wrote down their emotions, thoughts, hopes, and dreams, which will be preserved to be opened in the year 2075.

In keeping with the school’s long-standing educational heritage, the students’ wishes and aspirations were carefully placed into a specially prepared time capsule. Scheduled to be opened on the school’s 200th anniversary, the capsule is intended not only as a commemorative object but also as an important record reflecting how today’s children envision the world of tomorrow.

The “Time Capsule” initiative aimed to foster historical awareness among students and to strengthen the bond between past and future. Drawing inspiration from the school’s 150-year legacy, the project documented the hopes of the younger generation while emphasizing continuity across generations.

A small ceremony was held on Monday, December 22, organized by the School–Parents Association and the Board of Trustees. Letters and messages written by the students were sealed inside the time capsule, which will remain locked for 50 years before being opened during the school’s bicentennial celebrations.
