Students from Mufti Office of İskeçe visit Kocaeli in cultural exchange program
A group of female students from the Mufti Office of İskeçe visited Kocaeli as part of a cultural exchange program hosted by the Kocaeli Metropolitan Municipality, in a trip aimed at fostering cross-border ties and youth development.
Cultural and Educational Trip
During their stay, the students participated in a wide range of cultural, educational, and social activities, accompanied by municipal officials and civil society representatives.

The trip offered students opportunities to gain knowledge across disciplines while building social and cultural awareness.
Meeting with Civil Society
As part of the visit, the delegation also met with representatives of the Western Thrace Turks Solidarity Association Izmit Branch. The meeting, held in a warm and informal atmosphere, included discussions on ongoing initiatives and community engagement.
Both sides expressed mutual satisfaction and appreciation, highlighting the importance of such exchanges in strengthening ties between communities.
Meeting with Local Leadership
The trip concluded with a meeting between the students and Kocaeli Mayor Tahir Büyükakın. The students thanked the municipality for its hospitality and support throughout their visit.
Strengthening Cross-Border Bonds
Mustafa Trampa, head of the delegation and Mufti of İskeçe, emphasized that such initiatives help broaden young people’s perspectives, reinforce a sense of shared identity, and contribute to stronger cultural ties between Western Thrace and Türkiye.
