STOP violence against women! Event in Komotini
An event for drawing attention about violence against women will be organized by Eastern Macedonia and Thrace State, Komotini Municipality and Women's Shelter (Ksenonas).
On the occasion of the International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women, Eastern Macedonia and Thrace Province, Komotini Municipality and Women's Shelter will organize an event in Komotini.
The event, which will be held on Friday, November 25 at the former governor's office in Komotini, “Georigos Pavlidis Meeting Hall”, will start at 18.00.
Speeches will be made at the event to draw attention to the issue.
Three speakers will take the floor and give information to the participants.
• Sevasti Hatzifotiou, Professor of Social Work, Gender and Domestic Violence at the Department of Social Work at Democritus University in Thrace,
• Clinical Psychologist Aristidis Moisiadis, Deputy Head of State for Public Health and Social Security,
• Women's Shelter (Ksenonas) Social Worker Kiryaki Andrutsu,
In addition to the speeches at the event, a photography exhibition with the theme "Woman, Mother, Wife, Worker... A Woman a Thousand Roles" will be organized by the Komotini Photography Group.
It is said that Kafkasköy (Thrilorio) Pontus Women Cultural Association will also contribute to the event.
The event will be conclouded with Mihalis Iliasko and Vangelis Drosakis concert in the event hall.
