Rhodope MP Özgür Ferhat visits Karacaoğlan Village

Rhodope MP Özgür Ferhat from the New Left Party visited Karacaoğlan village in the Rhodope region, where he joined local Turks for Friday prayers.
Engagement with the Local Community
Following the prayer, MP Ferhat met with villagers to discuss recent issues affecting the community. Emphasizing that he closely follows developments in the region, he stated that he has taken initiatives within his institutional capacity to prevent potential problems. He reiterated that as the political representative of the region and the Turkish minority, maintaining community solidarity and protecting minority values remain top priorities in his parliamentary duties.
In a heartfelt conversation with Karacaoğlan residents, Ferhat affirmed, “As members of the minority community living here, we have always served our region and our country, and we will continue to do so. We expect our minority values to be respected in a country where democracy and justice prevail. On matters that concern our community and could harm our dignity, we urge relevant authorities to act with sensitivity and humanity.”
Concluding his remarks, MP Ferhat assured the community that he will remain a steadfast advocate and supporter of the Turkish minority under all circumstances.
