Resident card applications to begin for İskeçe Old Town
The Municipality of İskeçe will begin accepting applications for Permanent Resident Cards for the city's Old Town on July 13, as part of a new traffic management plan that will be introduced on a pilot basis in the historic district. Applications will remain open until September 11.
According to the municipality, the initiative is designed to improve access for residents and visitors, preserve the historic character of the Old Town and support local commercial activity. Permanent residents living on streets covered by the new traffic regulations are encouraged to apply in time to be included in the municipality's database and receive their access cards.
Applications will be submitted electronically through the Municipality of İskeçe's website and the dedicated Permanent Resident digital platform. Applicants will be required to provide supporting documents, including proof of residence, vehicle registration and a recent utility bill. Residents unable to complete the process online will be able to receive assistance at the municipal service office.
Municipal authorities have urged eligible residents to submit their applications well before the deadline to avoid delays as the city prepares to implement the new traffic control system in the historic neighborhood.
