"Regardless of the circumstances, we have never left any of our mayors under suspicion"

Rıdvan Ahmet reacted to the statements of Erdem Hüseyin, Mayor of Kozlukebir Municipality, that they took over the municipality with a debt of approximately 3 million euro from the former administration.

Reminding that in 2014, when they took over the administration of Kozlukebir Municipality, the country was under very difficult conditions, Ahmet said, "Whatever the conditions, we did not leave any of our past mayors under suspicion. We always appreciated their work and thanked them in every environment."

"WE HAVE DOUBLED THE SERVICE PROVIDED TO OUR PEOPLE 2.3 TIMES IN 10 YEARS"

Stating that despite all the negativities experienced, they have made Kozlukebir Municipality the hardest working municipality, Ahmet said: "In 2014, we took over Kozlukebir Municipality with an annual income of approximately 10.000.000 euros. In 2023, we increased our income by approximately 2,3 times, that is, by adding 13.000.000 euros extra income to 23.000.000 euros annually. Therefore, we have increased the service provided to our people 2,3 times in 10 years."

The head of the main opposition Ridvan Ahmet said the following in his statement

"It is extremely regrettable that the new administration, in order to create a negative perception against us, is trying to show our Kozlukebir municipality, which is in the best financial situation among the municipalities in our region, in debt.

Our municipality has not carried out its works by borrowing from any bank.

Each euro of this amount of 2,939,089.60 euros, which is transferred to the new year and appears as debt, is shown in the revenues of 2023, and the tenders, contracts have been made and turned into realisation.

As a result of the delay in the receipt of these revenues to the Municipality, their payment was transferred to the following year.

Therefore, the necessary funds for the payment of these monies in 2024 were again shown in our budget and unanimously approved in the last assembly.

I would like to take this opportunity to advise the new management to stop acting like the opposition and making statements and to focus on service like the government, to try to increase the budgets that we have reached 23.000.000 euros in 2023 to 30.000.000 euros by producing projects until the end of the term in 2028 and I wish them success in their work.

I would like it to be known that we are always ready to transfer our knowledge, experience and experience for our municipality regardless of the conditions. Because it comes before everything for us that our local people get the best service.

Therefore, it is very important for the future of our municipality that the new administration leaves the perception works and starts the service works that our people need."
