YTB President Abdullah Eren used the following statements in his post on his social media account: “Western Thrace Turks have been struggling with this indefinite Greek nobleness for years. Our struggle against this approach, which violates Lausanne every time, let alone reciprocity, prevents even the election of a minority committee in Western Thrace, our struggle will continue. Let there always be Western Thrace Turks!"
Grand National Assembly of Turkey Human Rights Investigation Commission President and the AK Party Bursa deputy Hakan Cavusoglu also shared his feelings both in Turkish and Greek: "Batı Trakya Azınlığı TÜRK’tür. Full Stop. The rest are chatter."
