President Topsidis meets with minority politicians at iftar
The President of the Region of Eastern Macedonia - Thrace, Christodoulos Topsidis, hosted minority politicians, mayors and local administrators and the minority press at an iftar dinner.
The Iftar programme took place at the Mangal Restaurant in the village of Çepelli in Komotini.
The guests attending the iftar were welcomed at the door by the State President Topsidis and the state administrators.
Topsidis sat at the same table with New Left Party Minority MPs Hüseyin Zeybek, Özgür Ferhat, PASOK Minority MP Burhan Baran and mayors Erdem Hüseyin and Caner İmam.
President Topsidis then visited all the tables one by one and had the opportunity to chat with the guests.
The guests who attended the iftar took a memorial photo with President Topsidis.
In his speech after the iftar, State President Topsidis thanked those who accepted his invitation and congratulated the guests on Ramadan. Stating that they wanted to be together with the local administrators in the region for the first time at such an iftar, Topsidis stated that they will work for the development of the region and the development of all citizens without discrimination.
Stating that they are aware of the problems of the region, Topsidis said that they are making efforts with their colleagues to solve these problems and that they will continue to work without giving up.
Topsidis concluded his remarks by congratulating the Eid al-Fitr of the minority politicians who attended the iftar dinner.
