PASOK leader Nikos Andrulakis visited Komotini. Andrulakis addressed the Rhodope voters before the general election.

PASOK Party Chairman Andulakis, who visited Komotini, met with the party members at the former REX Cinema Hall.

After Notis Haralambidis, President of the PASOK Party Rhodope Provincial Organization, made the opening speech, Andrulakis took the floor and addressed the Rhodope citizens.

Opposition leader Andurlakis, who stayed at the podium for about an hour, talked about the economy, universities and the situation of students, the future of youth and living standards.
While he spoke about the development of Thrace, Andrulakis did not drew attention to the fact that brain and job drain and minority problems that have been waiting for a solution for a long time.

The PASOK leader did not mention the rights violations faced by the Turkish Minority living in Western Thrace and the economic difficulties they face. On the other hand he preferred to touched on the elections in Türkiye and stated the following:

"Even after Mr. Karamanlis, who developed good relations with Mr. Erdoğan, we could not reduce the tension between the two countries. Therefore, I would like to say from Thrace we hope that logic, common sense and moderation will prevail in the upcoming Turkish elections. We want to see Türkiye as a stable country, a country without turbulence and respecting human rights.

Of course, we are afraid that people who do not agree with the central government will leave the country and that the newspapers will be closed. We want a stable neighboring country. But this requires respect for human rights and international law.

I believe that this is the only way that Türkiye can open the door of the European Union. In this case, too, I guess and believe that there is only one option.

A new practice based on raising the customs union should be started the day after the Turkish elections. At the same time, sanctions need to be increased in order to respect both neighboring countries and the Turkish people.

If the violations continue, Europe should stop arming the neighboring country. Therefore, to have a reliable attitude in national issues is not to look at the ballot box, but to look at the future of the country, our people, the agricultural structure of the country and the vision of Europe, and to see the needs. That's what we're doing."

After the speech of Andrulakis, all the parliamentary candidates of the PASOK party of East Macedonia and Thrace Province were introduced one by one.
