In the statement made by the Association of Western Thrace Minority Schools Councillors Association, a call for nomination was made to the parents for the upcoming councillor elections.

In the statement made on the social media account of the Union of Councillors, it was stated that the calendar for the election of the committees of councillors will be announced in the coming days.

Calling on the parents of minority schools, the Union of Councillors invited the parents to apply for candidature and stated that no minority school can be left to its fate.

"Dear minority parents,

As it is known, the Boards of Councillors in our minority schools are elected every 3 years. The term of office of the current Boards of Councillors will expire on 31 December 2023.

In the coming days, it is expected that the election timetable for the appointment of new Boards of Councillors will be announced.

We invite all parents of minority schools to apply for candidature in accordance with the schedule to be announced.

Let us not forget that the Boards of Councillors are the administrators of minority schools and no minority school should be left to its fate."
