New Deputy Mayors and Advisors appointed at Yassıköy Municipality
The Mayor of Iasmos (Yassıköy), Caner Imam, has announced new appointments within the municipal administration following an official decision, naming new deputy mayors and authorized advisors for 2026. Mayor Imam said the reshuffle is expected to bring renewed dynamism and greater efficiency to municipal governance.
In a statement marking the appointments, Mayor Imam thanked outgoing municipal executives and staff for their service. “I would like to sincerely thank all my colleagues who served our municipality with dedication and a strong sense of responsibility. Their contributions to Iasmos have been invaluable,” he said.
Emphasizing the importance of renewal, Imam added that assigning new roles and responsibilities would strengthen municipal services. “I believe renewal brings new energy. Together with our entire team, we will continue to work decisively for the benefit of our fellow citizens,” he noted.
Deputy Mayors and Areas of Responsibility
Under Decision No. 1405/2025, the following deputy mayors and responsibilities were appointed:
Mümin Ercan: Responsible for Technical Services in the Yassıköy district, as well as environmental services, cleanliness, recycling, and green spaces. He will also oversee sports, next-generation facilities, and animal welfare.
Kinç Erkan: In charge of drinking water, irrigation, and sewage services in the Arabacıköy and Yassıköy areas. His portfolio also includes local economy, agricultural development, plant and livestock production, employment, tourism, licensing, and regulation of commercial activities.
Ali Ozan: Responsible for technical services, environment, cleanliness, and green spaces in the Bulatköy, Çepelli, Büyük Müsellim, and Kirazlı districts. He will also oversee education and lifelong learning.
Avgoustis Vasilios: In charge of technical services, environment, and cleanliness in the Susurköy, Kozlardere, and Narlıköy districts.
Nikolaidis Theodoros: Responsible for technical services, environment, recycling, and green space maintenance in the Ortacı and Sasallı districts.
Hasan Hüseyin: Appointed deputy mayor responsible for drinking water, irrigation, and sewage services in the Susurköy region.
Burduk Orhan: Responsible for technical services, environment, cleanliness, recycling, and green space maintenance in the Arabacıköy region.
Acting Mayor Arrangement
According to the announcement, in the mayor’s absence, deputy mayor Mümin Ercan will assume mayoral duties. If Ercan is unavailable, the responsibilities will be carried out by deputy mayor Kinç Erkan.

The municipality also announced the following authorized advisors for 2026:
Hacı Ali Sibel: Culture, Gender Equality, Social Protection, and Public Health
Manko Mehmet Kubilay: Planning and Organization
Hüseyin Sunay: Administrative Services
Ioannis Koutsogiannis: Civil Protection and Disaster Coordination
Arif Mehmet: Information Technologies and Transparent Governance
Arap Sedat: Vehicle Management and Maintenance
Kara Hasan Müjdat: Financial Services
Municipal officials stated that the new administrative structure aims to improve coordination, service delivery, and responsiveness to local needs across the municipality.
