Muftis in Western Thrace release statement for the Mawlid Night
In the message published by Mufti of Komotini, İbrahim Şerif advised his kinsmen to revive the Mawlid Night in mosques on the evening of Friday, October 7th.
In the message he published, Mufti İbrahim Şerif advised that in the Mawlid Night people should go to mosques with enthusiastic congregations, as it was before the pandemic, based on the fact that the coronavirus (Covid-19) epidemic has generally lost its effect, saying "Considering the fact that the COVID-19 pandemic has generally lost its effect, let's go to our mosques and try to revive the Mawlid Night with enthusiastic congregations as before Covid. On this occasion, I congratulate your Mawlid Night and pray that it will be a blessing for the Western Thrace Muslim Turkish Minority and all humanity.
On the other hand, referring to the meaning and importance of the Mawlid Night in his message, Xanthi Mufti Mustafa Trampa said, “We must follow his life meticulously and strive to live like him on this night when we celebrate the birth anniversary of our Prophet. The way to get rid of the evils of this life is hidden in the life of our Prophet".
