Mufti Trampa: "Hopefully, we’ll renovate the Hamitli Mosque soon"
On November 7, 2024, the Mufti of Xanthi, Mustafa Trampa, visited the deteriorating Hamitli Mosque in the municipality of Avdira (Bulustra). Accompanied by local religious officials and his colleagues, Trampa examined the mosque's grounds and surrounding area, expressing a hope for its near-future renovation.
During the visit, Avdira Municipal Adviser Birol İnce Mehmet was also present. The delegation took time to observe ongoing cleaning efforts in the mosque courtyard. Trampa shared his hopes with the community, stating, “We are cleaning the courtyard of Hamitli Mosque. Hopefully, we will renovate it soon.”
Previously, similar cleaning efforts had taken place, and there was an attempt to begin renovations; however, the restoration was halted due to intervention by the then-appointed mufti.
The renewed commitment from Mufti Trampa brings a sense of optimism for the mosque’s much-needed restoration, which the community has awaited for years.
