MP Hüseyin Zeybek asks about compensation for farmers damaged by hail
Hüseyin Zeybek, New Left MP for Xanthi, demanded that the farmers who suffered damage from the hail about a month ago be compensated as soon as possible.
Zeybek, as his party's Agricultural Policy Officer, submitted a parliamentary question to the ministry on Wednesday, 29 May, on compensation to the farmers damaged by the hailstorm in the lowland region of Xanthi and on taking measures against natural disasters.
Xanthi MP Zeybek asked the Minister in charge what initiatives he would take for the immediate payment of compensation to farmers and when the government would start aerial interventions against hailstorms.
Zeybek asked the following questions to the Ministry of Agriculture and Food:
- In recent years, when climate change has been very evident, farmers and producers what measures to take to protect crops and how to maximise compensation what initiatives will be taken to ensure prompt payment are you planning?
- The government has decided to prevent hail damage to producers after each rainfall.
When will the airborne interventions against protection start?
What are the plans of the competent ministries regarding these activities?
