'We are on fire.. Still, these darknesses cannot come to the light!' head of minority NGO tweets
Baltacı made a post implying the reproaches of students who had to continue their education in the basement of Xanthi Minority Secondary and High School.
The bitter but pearly sharing of Baltacı is as follows:
“-Dad, our classroom is in the basement! It's very dark, it doesn't get any light... Greek schools weren't like that. Our school would be new… You promised.
- Son, we are on fire.. Still, these darknesses cannot come to the light! This is Western Thrace…”
For years, approximately 700 Western Thrace Turkish students have been continuing their education in an old tobacco warehouse. Due to the inadequacy of the building, 4 or 5 branches have to teach in classrooms in the basement. Due to the lack of class, 5 branches going to Middle 1 have to come to school at noon.
Despite many reactions and actions, there is no solution to the building problem of Xanthi Minority Secondary and High School. The careless attitude of the authorities on this issue continues.
