Meaningful Eid visit: Dr. Sadık Ahmet honored in Gümülcine
During the Eid celebrations, Çağatay Erciyes, together with Aykut Ünal, his spouse İlayda Ünal, and an accompanying delegation, visited the grave of the late Dr. Sadık Ahmet, a prominent leader of the Western Thrace Turkish community, at Kahveci Cemetery in Gümülcine.
Tribute and Prayers
The delegation held a solemn commemoration at the gravesite, with prayers led by Ahmet Arif Emin, a religious official affiliated with the Gümülcine Mufti’s Office. Passages from the Quran were recited to honor Dr. Sadık Ahmet’s legacy and contributions to the community.
Attendance of Community Leaders
The memorial included the late leader’s spouse, Işık Sadık Ahmet, as well as Çiğdem Asafoğlu and other senior members of the FEP Party, highlighting the enduring respect and reverence held for Dr. Sadık Ahmet.
