KÖPRÜ Association organised a blood donation event
The Bridge Association, which brings together the compatriots residing in the Turkish neighbourhoods Kırmahalle, Mastanlı and Kozluköy Yolu in Komotini under the same roof and continues its activities for the benefit of the residents of the neighbourhood, organised a blood donation event on Sunday, 19 May 2024.
The interest shown in the event organised by the association with the slogan "Give Blood Save Life" satisfied the president and the management of the association. Although it was the first time such an event was organised, 30 units of blood were collected thanks to the members of the association and other sensitive compatriots.
The collected blood will be protected by the Blood Bank created on behalf of the Bridge Association and will be used for the benefit of the members of the association or neighbourhood residents in need in the future.
The information received from the management of the association about the event, which took place at the clubhouse of the Rhodope Voluntary Blood Donors Association, was that the participation in the event, which was organised for the first time, was satisfactory.
In addition, a second blood donation event will be organised in September to add to the blood to be preserved by the Blood Bank established on behalf of the Bridge Association.
