Komotini Municipality warns the public about bad weather

In the statement made by the Municipality about the weather expected at the weekend, the following were stated;

"Deep barometric lows from the north-northwest, accompanied by a cold front, will cause strong winds over almost the entire country over the weekend, and locally heavy rainfall and storms in northern Greece and the islands in the eastern part of the country. Temperatures will drop by 6 to 8 degrees centigrade in the north.

  In more detail:

A. Starting from noon on Saturday, 18 November, winds will blow from the west gradually towards the east with a force of 8 to 9 bofor and from the northwest with a force of 10 bofor. Winds will gradually weaken as of Sunday afternoon.

B. Strong showers and thunderstorms are expected in the Eastern Aegean islands and Dodecanese Islands from the early hours of Saturday until the afternoon of the same day, and temporarily in the early morning hours in Thrace.
