Kadir Night message published by Mufti of Xanthi

Mustafa Trampa, Mufti of Xanthi, published a message on the occasion of Laylat al-Qadr.

The message issued by Mufti Mustafa Trampa, Mufti of Iskece, is as follows:

"Dear Respected Muslim Turkish Brothers and Sisters,

While we are experiencing the last days of Ramadan, the season of mercy, abundance and purification that adds countless beauties to our lives, we are in the joy of reaching another Laylat al-Qadr on Friday evening.

Allah Almighty announces to us in the Holy Qur'an that Laylat al-Qadr is a night of peace and salvation, which is better than a thousand months, in which angels surround the earth.

Our Almighty Lord says in Surat al-Qadr:

"We revealed the Qur'an on Laylat al-Qadr. Do you know what kind of a night is Laylat al-Qadr? The night of Laylat al-Qadr is better than a thousand months. The angels and the spirit descend on that night by the permission of their Lord for every work, and on that night peace and salvation continue until the dawn."

The most important feature that makes Laylat al-Qadr night superior to all other times is that the Qur'an began to descend on this night. That Qur'an is a guide that brings people out of darkness into the light.

The Qur'an is the book that introduces man to life, the universe, the creator, the purpose of existence; that teaches truth, reality, literature, wisdom, justice, mercy, all human values and principles that will beautify the earth; that shows the way to a chaste and honourable life, a just and peaceful world.

Dear Brothers and Sisters

We can honour Laylat al-Qadr only as long as we know the value of the Qur'an. So, let us take the opportunity of this night when the Holy Qur'an was revealed to connect our minds and hearts to the Qur'an. Let's read the Qur'an more, let's labour to understand it, let's strive to live and keep it alive. Let us use Laylat al-Qadr as an opportunity to account for ourselves and ask forgiveness and forgiveness for our sins. Let us appreciate the value of every night and every blessing in order to make our whole life blessed. Let us not forget that if we spend our lives with the Qur'an, it will add peace to our homes, peace to our hearts, beauty and blessing to our lives. Only in this way will we be able to benefit from the blessings of this night of grace and honour, which is better than a thousand months. May Allah make us among those who benefit from it in the best way.

Dear Brothers and Sisters

So let's make this night an occasion for a comprehensive reflection and review our whole life with the measure of the Qur'an and Sunnah. Let us review our relationship with our Lord, ourselves, our environment, all beings and the universe. Let's make our life fixed on Tawhid, servitude, justice, mercy, responsibility and good morals.

Our beloved Prophet (s.a.s.) said about this blessed night, "Whoever fulfils the Night of Laylat al-Qadr believing and hoping for its reward from Allah Almighty, his past sins will be forgiven" and recommended us to pray this night, "O Allah! You are forgiving, you love to forgive, forgive me too".

Dear Muslim Turkish brothers and sisters,

Let us repent for all our sins and ask for forgiveness with the determination and consciousness not to approach the same mistakes again on this Blessed Laylat al-Qadr Night, which is the night of salvation when Allah's mercy surrounds the earth. Let us include all humanity in our sincere and sincere prayers and renew our determination to work for the construction of a life and a world where there is no hatred, envy, hatred, fear, despair and marginalisation; where trust, love, respect, brotherhood and solidarity prevail. Let us make our sincere prayers especially for our brothers and sisters in East Turkistan, Palestine and Gaza who are groaning under oppression to regain their rights and freedoms as soon as possible and for them to enter the Eid in peace in these last days of Ramadan. As the Muslim Turkish Community of Western Thrace, let us beg our Lord for the restoration of all our usurped rights for the sake of these blessed days. Let us pray for our young people, who are the guarantee of our future, to grow up in the best way and to serve the Muslim Turkish Minority of Western Thrace as the elders of tomorrow.

With these feelings and thoughts, I congratulate the Laylat al-Qadr Night of the Muslim Turkish Minority of Western Thrace, the entire Turkish nation and the Islamic world, and I ask Almighty Allah to accept the fasts we have kept and all the worships we have performed, and I pray that the prayers and supplications made on this night will be instrumental in the unity and solidarity of the Islamic world and the peace and tranquility of humanity."
