'ITB Women Meetings' take place in Gökçepınar village
"Xanthi Turkish Union (ITB), Women's Meetings" event was held in Gökçepınar village on Tuesday, 19 December.
The last event of this year's "Women's Meetings" organised by the Women's Section of Xanthi Turkish Union (ITB) and ITB courses was held at the ITB Gökçepınar Sewing and Embroidery course. At the event in Gökçepınar, Dentist Beran Sali made a presentation on "Oral Care and Dental Development in Children".
The event was attended by ITB Vice President Sevil Şerifoğlu, Western Thrace Turkish Women's Platform Spokesperson and President of ITB Women's Section Zeynur Bargan, Nadire Ömer Trampa, wife of Mustafa Trampa, Mufti of Xanthi, Özlem Otuzbir, wife of Hüseyin Baltacı, President of the Western Thrace Minority University Graduates Association, members of ITB Women's Section, ITB Sewing and Embroidery trainees and women from Gökçepınar.
The opening speech of the event was made by Pervin Bekir, instructor of Gökçepınar course. Bekir thanked the women who supported her and the course in every way.
Zeynur Bargan, President of the Women's Section of ITB and Spokesperson of the Western Thrace Turkish Women's Platform, expressed her pleasure to be together with the women of Gökçepınar. Bargan stated that the aim of the Women's Section is to stand by the women with the projects and activities they organise.
Nadire Ömer Trampa, wife of Mustafa Trampa, Mufti of Xanthi, and Özlem Otuzbir, wife of Hüseyin Baltacı, President of the Western Thrace Minority University Graduates Association, also made short speeches and expressed their pleasure to be together with the women of Gökçepınar.
In her speech, ITB Vice President Sevil Şerifoğlu gave information about the "Women Meetings" series of events. Şerifoğlu said, "As Xanthi Turkish Union, we aim to contribute to our women, who we see as the cornerstone of the society, in different fields as well as keeping the Turkish culture alive in Western Thrace. In order to respond to the needs of our women in social areas, we aim to see healthier, happier, more peaceful women, mothers and wives by bringing them together with experts from time to time in line with their wishes, and by bringing them together with organisations such as meals, picnics and trips. In this sense, I would like to thank once again our experts who participated in our activities and supported us and came together with our women in the villages."
Dentist Beran Sali, the guest of the event, talked about "Oral Care and Dental Development in Children" and answered questions from women.
At the end of the event, the course instructor Pervin Bekir presented the handicrafts prepared in the course to the speaker, Dentist Beran Sali, Nadire Ömer, wife of the Mufti of Xanthi, Özlem Otuzbir, wife of the President of WTMUGA, Sevil Şerifoğlu, Vice President of ITB, Zeynur Bargan, President of the Women's Section of ITB. Afterwards, traditional foods prepared by the trainees were served to the guests.
