İskeçe Turkish Union Women’s Branch hosts meaningful Ramadan Iftar gathering
The gathering, organized by the Women’s Branch of the İskeçe Türk Birliği, brought together branch members, female executives serving on administrative and supervisory boards, as well as participants of the association’s sewing and embroidery courses.
The evening was further distinguished by the attendance of İlayda Ünal, spouse of Aykut Ünal, the Consul General of the Republic of Türkiye in Gümülcine, and Nadire Ömer, spouse of Mustafa Trampa, who also serves as President of the Western Thrace Turkish Minority Advisory Board. Their presence added significance to the event, which drew strong participation from the community.
During the iftar, conversations centered on solidarity, social cohesion, and the role of women in public and communal life. Participants shared the joy of coming together in the spiritual atmosphere of Ramadan, reinforcing bonds within the Turkish minority of Western Thrace.
In a statement following the program, Women’s Branch representatives noted: “It was a beautiful evening where we strengthened our unity and togetherness. We thank all our guests for their participation.”
