The Mufti’s Office of İskeçe organized a two-day professional development seminar for Quran course instructors as part of its in-service training programs.

Held on July 8-9 at the Sünne neighbourhood mosque in İskeçe, the seminar was attended by Quran course instructors working under the Mufti’s Office.

Educators from the İlim Yayma Cemiyeti led sessions on topics including the Marifet Okulu project, modern educational approaches, teaching methods, the role of games in education and ways to better engage children and young people.

Focus on improving educational services

Participants received both theoretical knowledge and practical guidance on methods that can be applied in classroom environments, with emphasis placed on communication, effective teaching techniques and adapting to contemporary educational needs.

The seminar was organized in line with the importance placed on professional development by Western Thrace Turkish Minority Advisory Board President and İskeçe Mufti Mustafa Trampa. Officials said the program aimed to strengthen the skills of Quran course instructors and improve the quality of educational services.

Participants said the training was highly beneficial and provided valuable new insights for their work.

The İskeçe Mufti’s Office thanked the İlim Yayma Cemiyeti and the educators who contributed to the seminar, adding that similar in-service training programs will continue in the future.

Mufti’s Office evaluates Quran course training seminar

Following a two-day in-service training seminar for Quran course instructors, educators who conducted the program visited the İskeçe Mufti’s Office for an evaluation meeting.

Mehmet Yasir Cebeci, Talha Boyalık and Sedat Özgür from the İlim Yayma Cemiyeti met with Western Thrace Turkish Minority Advisory Board President and İskeçe Mufti Mustafa Trampa. The meeting was also attended by Deputy Mufti Ahmet Hraloğlu and branch directors of the Mufti’s Office.

Discussions focused on the effectiveness of the training program, the professional development of Quran course instructors and plans for future in-service education activities.

Participants also exchanged views on improving religious education in line with current needs and strengthening teaching methods for children.

İskeçe Mufti Mustafa Trampa thanked the İlim Yayma Cemiyeti and the educators who contributed to the seminar, saying such programs play an important role in enhancing the knowledge and professional skills of religious instructors.

The visit concluded with a commemorative photograph.
