Community-Focused Ramadan for the Next Generation
Throughout the holy month of Ramadan, the institution hosted iftar gatherings and interactive activities within Qur’an courses, as well as Children’s and Youth Mufti groups. Events held across İskeçe saw strong participation and vibrant engagement from young attendees.

Under the leadership of Mustafa Trampa, who also serves as head of the Western Thrace Turkish Minority Advisory Board, communal iftar tables were set up where students shared meals in a spiritually enriching atmosphere.

Education Meets Tradition
More than 40 different groups and Qur’an courses hosted iftar events during Ramadan, enabling hundreds of children to come together and experience the values of sharing, unity, and solidarity.

Programs combined education with entertainment. Activities included:

  • Traditional Ramadan chants and folk rhymes
  • İlahi (religious hymns) performances
  • Educational games and quizzes
  • Ramadan riddles and competitions
  • Cultural storytelling and sohbet (talk sessions)

In some gatherings, children were introduced to Ramadan traditions accompanied by the rhythmic beats of the traditional drummer, enhancing the cultural experience.

Positive Impact on Families and Communities
The events were met with overwhelmingly positive feedback from families, with many highlighting the joy and excitement seen in children. Organizers noted that these gatherings not only strengthened religious awareness but also helped preserve cultural traditions among younger generations.

Participating locations included numerous neighborhoods and villages such as Ahriyan, Boyacılar, Çınar Mosque, Dinkler, Elmalı, Gökçeler, Karaköy, Kırköy, Mustafçova, Şahin, Yassıören, Yenice, and Zümbül, among others.

Commitment to Future Generations
Mufti Mustafa Trampa emphasized the importance of such initiatives, thanking religious officials, volunteers, and contributors who made the programs possible. He also expressed confidence that similar activities will continue to expand in the coming years.

These Ramadan programs reflect an ongoing commitment by the İskeçe Mufti’s Office to support youth development through education, culture, and community engagement.
