İskeçe Minority Secondary School Chess Team achieves another success
The İskeçe Minority Secondary School Chess Team secured second place at the inter-school chess tournament of İskeçe, marking another notable achievement for the team. The competition took place on Saturday, 15 November 2025.
The team, composed of eight students, competed in various categories throughout the day, ultimately earning their runner-up position.
The school’s Board of Directors praised the students’ performance as a source of pride for the educational community and extended thanks to the teachers who supported the team. All participating students were congratulated, with best wishes for continued success in their academic pursuits.
Team members included Hasan Hacıimam, Hasibe Elif Osmanoğlu, Ravza Giritli, Erva Rana İmamoğlu, Demirkan Baltacı, Halil Kaan Telatoğlu, İzgi Berra Peçenik, and Eymen Sunay Hatip.
Last year, the same chess team from Xanthi Minority Secondary and High School earned third place in the tournament. This year’s second-place finish continues the team’s consistent upward trajectory in the competition.
