İrfan Hacıgene reacts to the discrimination against Turkish Minority business women

Eastern Macedonia - Thrace Region Assembly Member İrfan Hacıgene criticized the fact that women from the Turkish minority were not included among the businesswomen awarded by the Xanthi Tradesmen and Trade Federation.
In a statement released on the subject, Hacıgene congratulated the award-winning business women, but reacted to the fact that minority member women were not included in the award ceremony.
Expressing that he is saddened to see such discriminations being made, Hacıgene said, “Let me express my deep dissatisfaction with the fact that there are no minority women among the award recipients.”
Emphasizing that there are many minority women who are successful in their field, Hacıgene stated that there are still traces of discrimination in the society.
“Unfortunately, even this particular event was held within a completely stereotypical framework. I hope this is not intentional and happened by mistake. I hope the error is fixed immediately. We all know that repeating a mistake is a choice and should be condemned,” he said.
