Indirect death threat to Turkish MPs in Greek parliament

The leader of the Spartans Party, Vasilis Stingas, made an indirect death threat against the Turkish MPs of the New Left Party, Hüseyin Zeybek and Özgür Ferhat, on Sunday 17 December during the budget negotiations in the parliament, using the example of the accident in which Sadık Ahmet lost his life 28 years ago.

On the other hand, Vasilis Stingas, the leader of the Spartiates party, went so far as to insult the memory of MP Sadık Ahmet, who died 28 years ago. In his speech, Stingas recalled the incident in which Sadık Ahmet lost his life and made unbelievable statements such as "Fortunately, the truck swept him (Sadık Ahmet) away, he was relieved and we were relieved." The silence of the deputies present in the parliament in the face of these unbelievable statements of a far-right Greek party leader and the lack of any reaction to the statements that severely damage the memory of a deputy who lost his life 28 years ago was also mind-boggling.

As can be seen in the video below, the leader of the Saprtans, Vasilis Stingas, from the 35th minute of his speech made the following unbelievable statements:

"What were the two Muslim MPs of the New Left Party doing at the Turkish Embassy to welcome Erdogan, do you as ND approve of this, what is this, MPs of the Greek Parliament declaring their loyalty to the Turk, what are they, Turks? Have we forgotten what happened with Sadık? An MP of the Greek state came out and said he was a Turk, fortunately the tractor swept him (Sadık Ahmet) away, he was relieved and so were we."

Stingas targeted New Left Party MPs Hüseyin Zeybek and Özgür Ferhat, who met with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan at the Embassy of the Republic of Turkey in Athens, and made an indirect death threat against Zeybek and Ferhat by emphasising the fact that Sadık Ahmet had said that he was a Turk when he was an MP, and by giving the example of Sadık Ahmet's fatal and suspicious traffic accident 28 years ago with heavy and vile expressions. There was no reaction to these inhumane statements of Stingas by the MPs present in the parliament. Turkish MPs Zeybek and Ferhat were not present in the plenary hall during Stingas' speech.
