Incomplete report from the Ministry of Education and Religious Affairs about attacks on religious sites
The Greek Ministry of Education and Religious Affairs published the 2018 report on incidents in religiously important areas in Greece. The report contains information about the Greek Orthodox Church, the Catholic Church, Jehovah's Witnesses, Judaism and Islam as well as the Turkish Thrace community with incomplete and distorted data.

According to the report that 591 attacks were organized in 2018, 564 of them were Orthodox Church, 1 of them were Catholic Church, 3 of them were Jehovah's Witnesses, 20 of them were Jews, 1 of them were in German Military Cemetery in Attiki Region, and 2 of them took place in the religious areas of Islam. The report states that 61 percent of these attacks were left unresolved by unidentified perpetrators and 39 percent were resolved.

There is a separate section on Western Thrace Turkish community under the heading of attacks on Islamic religious sites. The report, which uses the definition of "Muslim minority in Thrace", states that Western Thrace Turkish community has legal status arising from private and international law as a religious minority according to the Treaty of Lausanne. Mufti's issue is transferred under a separate title in the report, the state-appointed Mufti's Education and Religious Affairs are independent public services, and the ministry's expenses are recorded by the ministry. In addition, the appointed muftis as senior civil servants are in the level of bureaucratic general manager and appointed for a period of 10 years according to Islamic law, religious, administrative and judicial powers are recorded. In addition, the report reveals that the three Mufti's offices in Western Thrace are preferred by the law that makes traditional legal jurisdictions used by the muftis preferring the inheritance, marriage and divorce of the members of the Western Thrace Turkish community and that the Greek Civil Code is also valid in case of disputes between the parties referring to the Presidential Decree 52/2019, which envisages the establishment of the government, as positive steps taken by the state, while not referring to the fact that the muftis appointed by the state are not recognized by the Western Thrace Turkish society.

The restoration, construction and conservation of mosques in Western Thrace, as well as the preservation of historical mosques in Rhodes and Kos outside Western Thrace, are reported under separate headings. It is noted that unidentified people entered the madrasah building in Şahin (Echinos), overturned tables, chairs and books and damaged the doors of the building and reported that the attack was reported to the police. Secondly, on June 30-July 1, 2018, there was written with black spray paint on the wall of the Yassıköy (Iasmos) mosque with abusive and insulting inscriptions and the attack was referred to the prosecutor.
