Iftar tradition continue in Urpek
The iftar dinner was held on Monday 25 March in the village of Ürpek in Kozlukebir Municipality in the Rhodope province, with the participation of a large number of cognates and guests from the Mehrikoz region and surrounding villages.
The participants opened their fasts together with the evening call to prayer.
Among the participants of the traditional Iftar of Ürpek were Consul General of Türkiye in Komotini Aykut Ünal, Mufti of Komotini İbrahim Şerif, New Left MP of Rodopi Province Özgür Ferhat, Mayor of Kozlukebir Erdem Hüseyin, Vice President of the FEP Party Metin Hacıosman, Region Assembly Member Ahmet Osman Pehlivan, Kozlukebir Municipality Hope List President Tarkan Multaza, Komotini Turkish Youth Union President Sedat Hasan, Western Thrace Minority University Graduates Association representative Murat Ahmet, Derbent muhtar Mehmet Bostancı as well as many kinsmen took part.
