Human trafficker caught by border police in Rhodope region
The human trafficker, carrying immigrants who entered the country illegally, was caught by the border police in the Rhodope region.
A human trafficker, who was stated to be a Greek citizen carrying illegal immigrants on the Alexandroupolis-Komotini Egnatia Highway, was caught by the Şapçı (Sappes) Border Guard Unit police of the Rhodope Police Department.
The police caught the incompetent human trafficker after they detected that 7 immigrants who entered the country illegally were transported in the covered commercial vehicle.
In the incident that took place on Saturday, March 11, the vehicle in question, some money found on the trafficker and his mobile phone were seized by the police after the investigation.
After a preliminary investigation by the Şapçı (Sappes) Border Guard Unit, it was stated that the arrested person was taken to the Rhodope Prosecutor's Office.
