Human skeleton found in the plain area of Xanthi

A human skeleton was found near the village of Büyük Osmanlı (Mangana) in the municipality of Topiros in Xanthi.
On Sunday 4 February, a local resident went hunting and came across a human skeleton.
According to the reports in the local press of Xanthi, the person who found the human skeleton immediately informed the security teams.
The skeleton was found in an area near the recently burnt village of Mangana.
It is believed that the skeleton found may belong to a local resident who disappeared about two and a half years ago.
Specialised police teams went to the scene and started a DNA identification study on the human skeleton found.
Xanthi Police Headquarters initiated a large-scale investigation and enquiry about the incident.
The investigation continues.
