Hıdırellez enthusiasm experienced in Büyük Müsellim village
On Tuesday, 14 May 2024, Hıdırellez was celebrated in Büyük Müsellim village of Yassıköy Municipality.
The 13th Büyük Müsellim Village Culture and Folklore Association Hıdırellez Festival organised by Büyük Müsellim Village Culture and Folklore Association in the village square was presented to the participants with a rich programme.
The event, hosted by Duygu Perende, started with the opening speech of Füsun Reşit, President of Büyük Müsellim Village Culture and Folklore Association.
Afterwards, protocol speeches were made. Mayor of Yassıköy Caner Imam, President of the Western Thrace Minority University Graduates Association Hüseyin Baltacı, President of the Friendship, Equality and Peace Party Cigdem Asafoglu, Advisor to the President of the State of Eastern Macedonia and Thrace Ridvan Molla Isa and New Left Party Rodopi MP Özgür Ferhat greeted the participants. They congratulated the president of the Culture and Folklore Association of the village of Büyük Müsellim, the members of the board of directors and the people of the village for organising the event.
The executives who made speeches were given gifts by the association management. After the speeches, the entertainment programme started.
Many groups took the stage and with their shows, games and concerts, they ensured that the participants had a good time and lived with the enthusiasm of Hıdırellez.
The participants of the event in the village of Büyük Müsellim were served pilaf with meat, semolina halva, corn and ayran.
