Hakan Çavuşoğlu makes a statement about the candidate list

Hakan Çavuşoğlu, Chairman of the Human Rights Investigation Commission of the Grand National Assembly of Türkiye and Bursa MP, made a statement about his candidacy for the new term of parliament.
In a statement made on his social media account, Çavuşoğlu said, "As someone who has had the honour of taking part in every level of this case, I am not on the candidate list for the 28th term parliamentary elections due to the three-term rule that our Party has introduced into the political literature. As we have always said, we do not aim for offices and authorities, but are a means of serving our nation. What is important for us is the future of this case, the future of Türkiye".
Hakan Çavuşoğlu, who is originally from Western Thrace, was elected as an MP with AK Party after serving as the President of Bursa Western Thrace Turks Solidarity Association.
Serving 3 terms as an MP, Hakan Çavuşoğlu also served as Deputy Prime Minister of Türkiye. Cavusoglu has recently been serving as the Chairman of the Human Rights Investigation Commission of the Turkish Grand National Assembly.
Although Hakan Çavuşoğlu is not nominated as a parliamentary candidate again in the transition process and in the new period, it is rumoured in the lobbies that he will be given a duty in the government if the AK Party wins the elections.
